Usage Hints
Drag and Drop
- Drag items (tracks, albums, artists, genres, playlists) from any of the panels on the left to the "Add" button to add them to the playlist, or drop them into the playlist to insert them at a specific position. You can e.g. add all tracks from certain albums or a genre like this.
- Drag a playlist from the panels on the left to the "Clear playlist" button to delete it. Click on the button to clear the current playlist.
Filters
Filters affect all drag & drop operations (except for playlists). If e.g. the rating filter is enabled, range is set to 3-5 and an album is dropped into the playlist, only tracks from that album with a rating >3 will be added to the playlist.
Lists
- Most lists can be sorted and filtered by using the column header menus. It's also possible to switch columns on and off.
- Most lists support multiple selection (e.g. select 5 artists and drag them to the "Add" button)
- In the lists on the left side, double usually drills down (e.g. double-click on an album, playlist or genre to see the tracks or an artist to see albums), except for the tracks search result list, where it will show all albums by the artist of the track.
Context Menus
- Right-clicking on the cover of a track in the current playlist displays a menu listing all images (jpg, png) located in the same directory as the track. This is meant for showing booklets, band photographs etc.
- Another track context menu is available by right-clicking on a track displayed in one of the left panels. Currently, it allows for showing all tags (ID3, FLAC etc.) and lyrics of the track.
Mouseovers
In some places, hovering with the mouse over an item will show detail informations (e.g. over tracks, ...)
